Unlock Your Vocal Potential with LyricalLove Music

Hey, singers! I'm Shontal Prince, voice coach and singer-songwriter at LyricalLove Music. With over 13 years of experience teaching students of all ages (5-80!) and genders, I'm excited to share my expertise on vocal ranges and voice types.

What's Your Vocal Range?

Ever wondered how many notes you can comfortably sing? Most people have a 2-3 octave range (think C3-C6). But, did you know?

- Untrained voices typically span 1.5-2 octaves (ie. A2-E5)

- Trained voices: 2-3 octaves (ie. C3-C6)

- Pros: 2.5-3.5 octaves (ie. G2-G6)

Discover Your Voice Type!

At LyricalLove Music, we'll help you identify your unique voice type and unlock your singing potential. Here are the main voice types, along with some iconic singer examples:

1. Soprano: Powerful, bright, and clear. Think Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, or Whitney Houston.

2. Alto: Warm, rich, and soulful. Check out Alicia Keys, Adele, or Erykah Badu.

3. Tenor: Strong, energetic, and versatile. Think Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, or Adam Levine.

4. Bass: Deep, smooth, and commanding. Look to Josh Groban, Michael Bublé, David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), or Scott Hoying (Pentatonix).

5. Mezzo-Soprano: A mix of soprano and alto qualities. Examples include Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, or Pink.
